At Berlin School, there’s a special group of people who make a big difference every single day—our paraprofessionals, or as we like to call them, our heroes in plain clothes.
They start their mornings with smiles and warm hellos, ready to greet students who need a little encouragement to start the day. In classrooms, they sit beside students who need a guiding hand, a patient ear, or a cheerleader to say, “You’ve got this!” They help with reading, math, writing, organization, and sometimes just being a friend when a student needs one the most.
Whether it’s working quietly in small groups, helping during transitions, assisting with behavior support, or leading stations during lessons, our parapros are everywhere—offering help, giving hugs, and reminding kids that they matter.
They are flexible, kind, hardworking, and full of heart. They know our students by name, by need, and by strength. And the truth is, Berlin School wouldn’t be the same without them.
So here’s to our amazing parapros—the quiet heroes who lift others up, one kind word and one helping hand at a time.
